Description This charming detached house is set in beautiful countryside near the village of Agouseliana, approximately 25 km south of Rethymno, and is surrounded by large grounds of 4000sqm with colourful gardens and fruit trees. The villa is about 150sqm in size, has three bedrooms and can accommodate 8-10 people. A 40sqm swimming pool is attractively set to one side of the house and is surrounded by sun beds and sun umbrellas. Further facilities are a barbecue, and a children’s play area.
On the ground floor there is a spacious living area with two couches, (one couch can be used as a sleeping facility), a fireplace, radio cassette player, satellite TV, telephone, and a well equipped kitchen with coffee machine, electric kettle and a microwave oven. Further to this on the same floor, there is a spacious dining room with windows offering views of the pool, one bedroom with a double bed, and a bathroom/WC with a washing machine. From the dining room, a short flight of steps lead up to another bedroom with a double bed, a sofa bed, en suite shower/WC, and a balcony with lovely views of the landscape. Of the living area an indoor staircase leads to the upper floor with one spacious 40sqm bedroom, having one double bed and twin beds, shower/WC, and a veranda offering delightful views. Air conditioning is available (4 units), at an extra local charge, which can be used as heating in cooler spells of the year.
This villa can be rented in wintertime. The lowest price will be charged.
The nearest mini-market and taverna can be found approximately 100 metres away. More shops, tavernas and the nearest beach can be found in the village of Plakias, 10 km away. This house is ideal for those seeking a relaxing holiday in natural surroundings

The old Cretan fishing village of Plakias with its little harbour, lies in a particularly beautiful landscape between the blue Libyan Sea and vast majestic mountains that edge down to one of the loveliest bays on the south coast. It is about one and a half hour’s drive from Chania or Heraklion. Many years ago, there were only a few houses, but today, because of its delightful setting, the village has spread to cater for the growing numbers of tourists, who have told each other of this special place that they have found. However, it still retains its particular Cretan character and has kept its laid back charm. The bay has a long sand and shingle beach between headlands that gets sandier the farther you go from the village. Not far from the old harbour are tiny bays and small coves where you can find quiet spots to sun bathe and swim. Boats sail daily to a variety of beaches, some of which have a good selection of water sports and the whole area is ideal for swimming, and sun bathing in a blissfully uncrowded setting. There is a variety of amenities for visitors and surrounding mountainous countryside. For short trips with minimum effort there is Preveli, the Venetian fortress at Frangokastello and the Minoan site at Phaistos are all well worth a visit. Further afield to the east you may like to visit the cliff caves of Matala and the ancient Roman capital of Gortys, or to the west the picturesque old town of Rethymno and the atmospheric old Monastery of Arkadi.
